Peanut Butter and Jelly Frozen Yogurt for Dogs
Ingredients
- 4 cups plain yogurt, low or fat free (Do NOT use the ones with artificial sweeteners - those could make dogs sick)
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 cup of blueberries (or you could use strawberries, raspberries or a mixed variety - either frozen or fresh)
- 3 tbsp peanut butter (natural and salt free is preferred. peanut butter should be at room temperature, so it's easier to blend)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- optional: honey (to taste)
Instructions
- Put all the ingredients into a blender, and puree until smooth.
- Pour the smoothie into ice cube trays and freeze.
Storing - Frozen treats will last for 6 months or more in the freezer. You can keep the smoothie mix in the fridge (in liquid form, of course) for about a week.
Yield - Using a 1/2 inch ice cube tray, you will make 32 PB & J Frozen Yogurt dog treats. You can enjoy these yummy cold treats, too! I love them!
